Preparing for an oil change and conducting my normal post trip inspection I discovered that both the front bump stops had gone missing.

2022 26K F53 chassis. I did some googling and found this might be somewhat common. Most opt for Sumo springs to replace over the OEM replacements since it seems it will just happen again.

In the short term, until I can figure out what I'm gonna do, what damage to the coach would I be risking if I continued to travel? To be honest I had no idea this had happened, no radical changes to the coach over our last 400 mile trip.

I'd like to know where they went? That seems unusual to me.

Yeah, I would too! They are most likely somewhere between Wichita, KS and Grove, OK.

Googling around brought out several threads for the other place on the same issue. It seems Ford even has a different replacement part when it happens according to a service bulletin. Many replaced with Sumo springs, but there are mixed reviews on the value of them at just a bit north of $800 just for the front set. Not sure what I'm gonna do. Closest Ford truck shop that will work on an RV is Rush in OKC which I've used before and they did fine work, but it's close to 200 miles one way for me. I could just get the parts and do it myself I guess.

I think I would go for the ford replacement part and do the install myself as you suggest.. OK I know this is really out there but I wonder if a person could put a catch cable on them so if the came out they would stay with the coach.

I saw where someone attached a couple of zip ties around the bump stop and up through the mounting bracket to do just that.
