This is just down the road from me in Wolfboro, that's Lake Winnipesauke. It was this spring, you can still see some ski trails on Gunstock MT top right.

Thank you, that is a 1983 FXSB Lowrider (1340cc), last year for the Shovelhead. I purchased it new.

Wow looks in excellent condition, very nice for a 42 year old bike. How many miles do you have on it? I love the older Harleys. The one I just bought is my 9th Harley and my 14th motorcycle.

We are in the Jigger Johnson Campground on the Kancamagus Hwy in NH. The park has 75 campsites. We got here on Thursday and expected the park would be full this weekend, but according to the camp host, there were 49 empty sites last night.

Just under 26K, it was in storage for 17 years, put back in service this year.

Wow Mt Washington must be getting cold at the summit y now. Snowbird migration has already started. Less than a month before all campgrounds close in the northeast.

It was 35 yesterday morning, 39 this morning at the campground.

We are at Waterloo KOA. In upstate NY, Seneca, Maybe 10% full. The website claimed when reservation done online only one site left available when we booked. Possibly the web site was limiting my search to a specific type of site based on the information in my preferred site type from membership.

Here’s what’s probably happening: some booking software defaults to dates it assumes the guest wants. For example, if today is the 22nd and the campground requires a 3-night minimum, the calendar may automatically display an arrival on the 22nd and a departure on the 24th.

But you might not be interested in those dates at all, maybe you actually want the 24th through the 27th. Before you enter your preferred dates, your eyes are drawn to the default display. If the campground happens to be full on those pre-selected dates, you may assume the park is full altogether and never bother entering your actual dates.

Many people stop right there and move on to another campground, when in reality there’s plenty of availability, just not on the dates the software chose.

It’s a poor assumption for the software to make, and a poor programming approach overall. The likely reason it hasn’t been fixed is that much of this software was built around hotel bookings, where an employee at the front desk typically manages the process and knows to enter the correct dates to check availability.

Keep in mind kids are in school so like where I am right now, it was full this weekend. Now the CG is all mine, well, a few others are here. I think we'll see CG's near capacity on weekends and holidays, otherwise low expectations due to season.

I am in the heart of NH leaf peeping country, and Saturday night, the park had 49 empty sites out of 75.
