Hello, I am new here looking for help with figuring out why my travel trailer (which is a 2019 River Forrest wolf pup limited 16bhs) is leaking water from the faucet into the sink when city water is connected and turned on, after I currently just replaced the water filter that gets connected to hose and trailer outside. Please any on help, I did have the water pump replaced about 3 years ago when I first got this trailer.

Welcome aboard. I would like to suggest a faucet washer might cure your problem but first, Is this the only leak you have? Do you know what pressure your city water is at? Do you have a pressure regulator installed?

Is it dripping or running? If it's two handle it may be a seat washer on one of the stems ( best to replace both), one handle, the cartridge. Your paperwork may tell you what brand you have, which you'd need to know if replacing the cartridge or the o-rings, otherwise, you could take it to a plumbing supply house and they would probably be able to identify the make or "maybe" to a big box hardware. If it's the old two handle type, you can buy a pack of assorted seat washers at any big box.

IF its been in cold weather, you don't say where you are, it can be broken internally. I replaced 2 today and a shower wand that were cracked. Not winterized here in the Chattanooga area. These were metal faucets but had plastic internals.

That's the only leak, I am in Laughlin nevada so no cold weather, I turned on my pump switch today and ran water out of the faucet when I turned off the faucet it still leaked until I flipped the pump switch off. Its a 2 handle faucet. Its not leaking from either handle or the neck of the faucet and it started with a drip now its more of a heavier stream. Is there a certain direction the water filter on the outside is supposed to go I also wanted to ask? Thank you hope I answered all the questions I am kinda new at living in one of these so please bare with me.

I'm sure your water filter is attached correctly. There is only one way re male and female threading. I strongly suspect you need to replace some parts in your faucet as Holdmybeer recommended. Washers, and O Rings are reasonably inexpensive. Cartridges can be a little pricier. If you know the make and model of your faucet, there might be a video that will show you what hardware you need and how to on YouTube University

Good luck! Let us know how you make out please.
