2020 Holiday Rambler Admiral 32S Slide out screws

I inspected my coach and saw there are 8 missing screws from the slide trims. They are black and I bought some #10 replacements from Lowe's. The factory screws I removed as a go-by look cut down to about 5 threads long. It is hard to to think those screws hold the trim flush to body going down the road (maybe the silicone helps). I cut one that I bought down and it did not seem to go in as the factory one did. Is there a place to buy those screws that anyone knows about? TYIA.

I doubt the screws were cut off probably broken when install by over torquing

Thanks for the reply! Well, don’t know about over-torquing but pulled one off the other slide. They are in there pretty good. Appears to be. #10 self-tapping Phillips screw. Now to figure out how to deal with the missing ones. Shown with Lowe’s #10 1 inch.

Ok. Went to inspect the holes of the missing screws. Definitely broken off in there. Now to figure out how to extract them and get some OEM (style) replacements. With 7100 miles on the odometer, am not too happy about it.

I have used a lot of self tapping screws for work over the years, and they usually brake like that when it bottoms out or its thicker than the tip and the threads grab before you have a hole through the material. Either way unless you have good access to use a left handed drill bit to try and get them out can you move them over?

Thanks for the reply. I have an easy-out kit that I’m going to try for extractions. If that does not work, I’ll back out the existing ones and try to get the broken ones out with pliers of some sort. Wondering if the screws I bought are stronger than the OEM self-tapping screws. And, if I need to fill the holes with some material to let the new screws be more secure in the fiberglass wall.
