We just purchased a 2017 Coachmen Freedom Express 192RBS. It has what I believe to be the original tires which I will replace shortly. The sidewall on the tire indicates that the recommended tire pressure is 30psi. I've had many trailers over the years and most if not all have had tire pressures recommended as 50 or 65 psi. Doe 30psi seem to be the correct setting. I have downloaded the Owner's Manual for this trailer but it obviously covers a multitude of trailers of different sizes and weights and is silent with respect to tire sizes or pressures. Thank you for any information.
 
You sure they are trailer tires? Mine are 65 PSI. 14"

Have you decided on a tire brand yet? I'm going to replace mine before the next long trip. They are 2019 and China made. I've been researching and the Goodyear Endurance seems to be a commonly recommended tire.
 
The weight rating is what determines PSI. The weight (actual) determines the pressure your tires require. My guess is the tires are C rated tires. Weigh your rig on a scale and look up recommended tire pressure. And yes there are charts that are online for determining tire pressure based on the weight of your vehicle.
 
Ive been using Goodyear Endurance for a while with no issues. Only flat has been from a valve stem being torn off from debris.

Current trailer has 15" rims with 80psi stated on the tire.

I would just note that my tow vehicle - a 2016 Toyota Tundra weighs 7,000 lbs unloaded and the recommended tire pressures are 33 rear and 30 front. The trailer in question Weighs 6,000 lbs unloaded so in the neighborhood of 7,000 loaded. Same number of wheels on each vehicle - two axles, four wheels - so 30psi would not seem entirely unreasonable. I'm hoping someone with the same trailer can tell me what tires and what tire pressure they are running.

Trailer tires aren't designed the same as vehicle tires. I run the same pressure in my Tundra as you and in my 2018 Coachmen Freedom Express 25SE, I run 65 psi in my Goodyear Endurance tires.

That said, don't run your trailer tires for a higher pressure than they're designed for.

I'd recommend replacing the Chinese junk with a name brand.

I also have a road bike. The tires filled to 65. I might add that they aren't cheap.

So to understand tire pressure one must understand the concept.
What holds up your vehicle is an atmospheric pressure differential. So square area at a specific pressure will lift a specific amount of weight.

What is important to remember is a frame engineer looks at a tire as a black box. He designs the frame for a specific capacity. He leaves the tire design to the tire engineer (He delegates that authority elsewhere). The bean counter argues about the bottom line.

The trailer engineer compromise beyond what he desires. The bean counter smiles because he can tell his boss the quarter earnings are going to look great.

Mean while frame structure is thinner, gussets become thinner, tires fall just in spec.

The customer now has a "lite" trailer,with less than optimal tires and wonders what pressure to fill his tires with. He braggs he can pull his trailer with an SUV or worse. Totally failing to realize his new toy has under rated tires that will come apart at 70, and blame a country because every one of them blew out because he was sure it wasn't about profit.

Upgrade the tires. My trailer tires are E load rated. They are rated for pressure they won't see in there service life. They are inflated based on actual vehicle weight, using a chart readily available on the Internet.

I don't argue with the manufacturer that put a C rated tire on a trailer rated for 7000 lbs, because I know what they built, and why they made there choices.

As a consumer this is what I know.

3500 lbs axles under a trailer designed to haul 7000 lbs is a recipe for failure.

For the same trailer C Rated tires is a recipe for damaged body panels, and ruined trips.

Same as above, under inflated tires.

Over inflated tires help distroy trailer life.

Taking the time to weight the rig, and inflate properly makes the trip more enjoyable while our underbuilt garbage lasts.
