Floating feeling

I have a 31’ class C on a E450 chassis. 2011 model. It is new to me. When I drove it home it tracked straight, didnt pull one way or the other but it felt to me like the front wheels were barely touching the ground. Didnt seem to grab the pavement like i would expect a heavy vehicle to do in a turn. Is that normal? Tires are new. Also, it has air shocks. If i decide to put a dolly behind it, can i just bump the pressure up in those shocks to compensate for the load? Is there a pressure spec somewhere? One more… lol! Is there a wireless rear observation camera that doesn’t have a delay? Ive been trying to do some research but they all seem to have bad reviews. Thanks ahead of time for any advice!

You should have axle weights listed on a placard some where around the driver area. Once you locate it will give the max axle for front and rear, I would have coach weighed to be sure your within limits.

Thanks. It is completely empty of any outside weight other than gasoline. I have some scales nearby that we use at a farmer’s coop for weighing fertilizer and wheat. I guess i can pull everything but the front axle on it and then everything but the rear axle on it and see if im within specs. The closest dealer is 100 miles away in the middle of a major city. This country boy tries to avoid that as much as possible.. thanks again for the reply!

I have a 2020 31', with rear air bags (factory installed). I added a compressor to be able to adjust on the fly. When I feel that "floating" feel, I increase the air in the bags. The sweet spot seems around 70 psi (max is 105). I also added Sumo springs to the front, made a huge difference with front stability in turns and when going by semi's.

Install Monroe RV shocks front and back ,replace stabilizer links with moog stabilizer link. It will ride and drive like a new truck, I car dolly a car behind 25c I install the Monroe magnum RV load adjusting shocks 555010 they work great.
