Putting a plug out for Chewy.com (I'm not affiliated in any way). I didn't know of or use them until right before Sam's passing. I had ordered some canned food from them (3 cases I think) as it was all Sam would eat when she was going through her final time. Sadly her final time was much shorter than the vet's told me so I had 3 cases of unused food. I contacted Chewy.com to return it, they told me donate it, no need to return and would refund my money. From this I'm a loyal customer for life.

Pet Food, Products, Supplies at Low Prices - Free Shipping | Chewy.com

I just ordered food and more goodies for Elli last night, it arrived TODAY. Holy crap that was fast, too fast, I don't arrive until tomorrow. FedEx called me and they dropped it off over at @ARD's site thankfully. Very nice of FedEx!!!

So again, a shout out to Chewy.com for their customer service but also prompt order handling. For RVers with pets, I cannot recommend higher Chewy.com for all of your pet needs.

We use Chewy also for most of Dusty’s food. They are fast, well priced, and most importantly, their turnover is high so the food is really fresh. Judy D

A friend of mine used them, was on a regular delivery. When his boy passed, he stopped the subscription. The next day he received a condolence card and flower arrangement.

We’ve used chewy for years...we’ve got a lot of cats at home, and a pretty large dog. All food, litter, treats, etc are on subscribe & save. Saved us a ton of money, easy to change quantities and delivery times, just a great company, with nice people.

Thanks, @Neal. We have seen Chewy.com ads, but have never used it. From your experience (and, that noted by @CoreyinWP), it sounds like a first class operation. We're going to check it out for our "girls') needs.

This reminds me of the experience we had a few years back when we lost our first Miniature Schnauzer to an illness at age five. We had her at a vet hospital in the Seattle area that specialized in difficult pet health care issues. Despite their best efforts (and, we were greatly impressed with the care "Sophie" received there), we lost her.

When we drove down to pay the final bill, we were presented with her collar, a snippet of her hair, a condolence card and a copy of the book, Dog Heaven, that had been signed by all the vets, techs and office staff. It made a tough situation just a little more bearable.
