Has anyone had great luck with a de-ionized water rinse system. I’ve been looking at this one:

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don’t but if you wanted one to carry with you, onthego has a whole range of pressure washers, water softeners and di rinse systems that are pretty small and compact.

I think @Neal has one of their pressure washers?

I have had DI rinse in my RV's since 2013. IMHO--it is the best mod you can do.

CRSpotless is an expensive route. The cheaper route is to go with OnTheGo's setup. The material needs to be replaced once it is no longer removing the "ions", as it cannot be regenerated. On The Go is the least expensive way to get the replacement resin.

I have tried going with 2 stage, 3 stage, and mixed-resin setups. IMHO--Mixed resin is the best way to go. You can have a single tank with mixed bed and generally last about 10-15 RV washes.

This would be the recommended unit:

For a little more money, you can get the clack heads that allow for bypass. This will stretch the resin further, as you only use the DI water for the final rinse.

Thanks for the suggestion. What about this system:

It's identical from what I can tell.

Upon further review, the capacity and head is the same. The link I posted is shorter, and wider.

Wow! Great info with links and everything! Thanks!

@J&JD I recently purchased the simple Chuck to carry in my bus. Easy to move around and easy to change. I didn’t want to deal with changing out the resin on road and the handle folds down and it’s easy to add a bypass. Close in price points to others. I had a plumbed in portable DI in my Ventana and I wish I had taken it but the buyer wanted it. Made by the same CR spotless company. CR Spotless Simple Chuck Spotless Water System

From what I hear the CR spotless doesn't last as long which is why I went with DI rinse. With the larger one, I probably went 2-3 years and recently replaced the resin. My half height one (pro 50?) I've had for at least 2 years, had it at Angel Fire, and it's used a little less but probably ready for resin to be replaced. Moral is, I've been very pleased with how long the DI rinse units are lasting before a resin change is required. The nozzle setup is very nice too to easily bypass the resin when you don't need the spotless rinse.

Redbarn, have you already purchased that system (new pro50 compact spotfree DI system RV Mod)? That website looks suspect, no business location, no one picks up at that phone number provided and the message wants you to correspond via email only. They also have a "Visit our Amazon page" link, but it sends you to another non-amazon page. This new page has a few red flag items too. Just a word of caution, not sure how you would lodge a complaint if something goes wrong with RV Mod.

Yes, I have ordered from them for years. They are the distributor of on the go. This is a one man show, and runs like a part time small business. I have been very happy with them.

Thats great to hear. Even as a one man show I wonder why they choose to not provide a business location? What also was weird, I did not see the DI tanks on their Amazon page. Are you happy with your tank purchase, does it work like the video shows?

The tanks they use are standard poly tanks. I have no problem with their tanks, as there is only 2 manufacturers of all polytanks of this size.

The tank heads are fine, but I prefer clack heads.

I recently have done a mix of tanks from O2G and other sources, just because sourcing poly tanks directly is very difficult. I then purchased the clack heads with the valves that I wanted to enable bypass.

You pay a slight premium ordering these direct, but it is often offset with the included resin.

I was putting together 4 separate systems, so it was worth the effort to source on my own. Doing for just a single purchase, I wouldn't have spent so much time doing it.

As far as the address, I know he runs this out of his home. He probably chose that reason to not publish the data. I have talked with him on the phone a few times, and it was obvious that he was very knowledgeable about the industry.

For one man shows, the holidays are usually very hard on the family, and I applaud his decision to shut things down and take time off. Too many business owners don't do this and allow family life to suffer.

They are now offering a clack head option. Not when I last ordered.
