Just be prepared to pay out the nose on the west section of 99 and they don’t honor anything except tax toll tags. You’ll get a bill in the mail based on your license plate and it will expensive!!Thanks DK, totally get your confusion. Our motorhome is in Havana and we'll head south to Texarkana from there. You're route around Houston is just what we'll do.
Safe RV'ing to you.
Kurt
That's a helpful bit of info. Thanks much. Guess that'll be a beans and franks day.Just be prepared to pay out the nose on the west section of 99 and they don’t honor anything except tax toll tags. You’ll get a bill in the mail based on your license plate and it will expensive!!
Way cool Magua, we'll check this route out. Like the no toll and traffic thing.Coming down 59, in Nacogdoches take 21 to Crockett. Then 19 to Huntsville. Then 30 to 90 and Navasota. Then 6 to Hempstead. Out of Hempstead take159 to Belleville. In Bellville, take 36 to Sealy and on to Wallis, East Bernard, and to Wharton. Pick 59/69 up in Wharton and on to south Padre. Sounds difficult but a really easy drive and scenic. Takes about 35 minutes longer than going through Houston. And no toll roads or traffic. I do this route very often in our 45 ft. Essex on our way to Rockport
Thank you for that link. Sounds helpfulYou can find out where there's problems on Texas highways Drive Texas - Static Map I really recommend checking it before your trip. I think I saw a closure on your route.
