    Dash speakers

I have no sound on the dash , radio, or Trip Tix. It is not muted. Radio is on and trip tix works but my TPMS only flashes when out of perimeters. Is there a fuse for just sound somewhere? Your thoughts are appreciated.

    TPMS vs Tire Pressure Gauge

When I chatted with this long about with TST Truck (my TPMS manufacturer) he mentioned a 4% error

Valve stem extender issue on Freightliner/Accuride wheels, again!

They do wear out eventually. Mine have been onfor five years. I just got new tires and the re-installed the old extenders. The no longer worked the the pass thru tpms sensors. He replaced them with new ones which work fine.

    New TPMS Valor tire sensors

So much to learn. Back in Dec our tire sensors started malfunctioning. Bought all new and 4 more for a Jeep I had yet to purchase. Everything was installed into our 2016 King Aire and 2018 Wrangler (toad). I stupidly thought that I could just sit and program these back into my coach. Turns out...

TPMS Issues - Gen 1 -- NHTSA Recall Campaign

what I know so far: they are mounted to the drop center of the wheel with a band on the towed vehicle so I’m assuming it’s the same for the motorhome side RV Customer Support SpartanLync Technologies 1240 Burloak Dr. Unit #9 Burlington On. L7L 6B3

    Newmar King Aire fire

...I think the take away from this incident is to use your engine brake, keep your speed under control, monitor tire temps with a good TPMS, and pull over if needed to let things cool down. I had a time when heading east from a winter in AZ where I hit hot southern TX and had high pressure...

TPMS - EEZ - valve stem replacement and access

Always use metal valve stems with TPMS. My previous MH cam with plastic valve stem extenders fir the duallies. one cracked and leaked before I even got to install the TPMS.

    TPMS Recommendation

...on my way to a flat sometime, with only two wheels, it's critical I know ASAP. So for some of the more seasoned RV’s here with experience, what TPMS might you recommend? BTW, I’m in the quality before economy camp. At this point, from what little I’ve read, I’m leaning toward an...

Question The one thing what worries me is a Flat tire.

Porterhouse, Thanks. That was my thoughts. I have a 6"x6" block under the tongue when set up. I am working out of town and staying. But I will have tow through Houston, Texas in June and I shudder at the thought of addressing a flat tire on I-10 around Houston. First order of business...

I never thought about TPMS that is a very good idea.

    Tire monitors

I recommend looking at Tire Safety and TPMS | Tire Pressure Monitors | TechnoRV. They seem to have good pricing and I have used their Tech support, called for Info, a couple of times with great results.

Check your tires every travel day!

...to 80s in the afternoon has caused an Over Pressure alarm on a front tire. I’ll wait until morning and adjust cold pressure again before heading South. Adjusting the TPMS alarm threshold might help but not my preferred method. Notice this is more common when speed average creeps above 65 mph.

FYI On a recent trip a Valve stem on the tow failed

On the VW the OEM TPMS system does not use sensors. The VW system uses differential wheel speed to sense low tire pressure. Unfortunately I have had many flat tires on this vehicle and the TPMS system works flawlessly. On the RV I use the EEZ TPMS system. EEZ uses screw on tire sensors. So the...

Alert TPMS SENSORS ON RUBBER STEMS MAY CAUSE VALVE STEM FAILURE!

Agree with both points. My CR-V has 103k miles on it, all of which are with the TPMS sensors attached. The 2014 CR-V has a horrible OEM TPMS system so I use an after-market one all the time just so I can get accurate tire pressures.

    TPMS Recommendation

Over the years, I've had 3 flats on my tow. Each time I was saved by my TPMS except for when I first got my LA and was using chassis TPMS because I had not gotten around to installing my EEZ yet. Thank goodness for the good people of Arkansas who waved me down. I was lucky not to ruin the rim on...

Problem 2022 Dutch Star High Tire Temperature

I have a new 2022 Newmar Dutch Star 4369. First trip abandoned after experiencing TPMS warnings of 178 and 180 for the inside rear tires. I checked the forums, which suggested faulty readings on the TPMS, but the smell of burning rubber has me thinking the TPMS was accurate. I am stunned the...

Looking for a TPMS for Class A

My 22 will have a new tpms, but I have decided not to use it for the toad. The primary reason is my toad is a jeep wrangler, and I do the 5 tire rotation on it every 5k miles. It has large 37s and I want to get the most out of them. I considered buying the tool that let's me set the tpms, and...

    Nitrogen in tires

Only one I know that likes extremes is Neal! And that ain't several times a day! Still freezing to warm tires, well maybe hot (standard TPMS) reading, create conditions where nitrogen would be beneficial.
