    Another Sanicon Hose Failure

With all you tech savvy people, why hasn't anyone done a dueeno soft start project rather than continue with the insanity???

    Question Micro Air Easy Starts

Hey gang, We just installed a new Inverter HVAC at home, which doesn't need the EZ Start that I had just installed a few months ago. Seeing this thread, and realizing it can be used on an RV, I'm listing it here. I didn't think it would fit under the cover on our Roof A/C units, which are...

Tip Newmar Dometic A/C has softstart

Dometic only makes one type of Soft Start for the Penguin II, called the SmartStart. I have never seen this in any model year of any newmar. It does benefit from a direct plug n play installation. Would be very easy to see if your unit has this, as it will be a separate installation next to the...

How To Install a soft start in a Dometic roof top air conditioner

I can't make sense of it. I manage to run two A/C's off a single leg of 30A divided to both A/C's. I do have the MicroAir Soft start on both units. When running they pull less than 14A. So...if you are in a 50A shore power connection, and the panel is balanced...you should easily run four...

    13.5 A/C

I run my 15k unit on 20 Amp often, no soft start. Make sure no other loads on circuit.

    Towing ability

I had Firestone Ride-Rite air bags on the back of the old Chevy P30 MH chassis, rear air bags on the 2008 Canyon baby truck, and just got half done completing Ram-Bro's air bag install on Thursday. Curb side bag installs Friday morning (so much rain in FL this week). Spring compression under...

    New SoftStart product

Convenience. No installation needed. I bought two soft start units three or four years ago. Never installed them. More tha I wanted to tackle.

    Generator for travel trailer

...I guess the microwave is the only other major draw. Fridge and hot water heater propane capable. So I'm reading about start up amps and soft start devices. I've read some people using a 2000W generator and some saying it's not enough. My choices would be governed by the weight, the ones...

    13.5 A/C

Running draw for a new 13.5 btu a/c is 12-13 amps in a ‘spec world’. However you will need a “soft start“ device as most motors pull significantly more at start up without some type of modification.

    Micro-air Easystart/Bluetooth

I didn't buy BT. No need. I just want the soft start.

Resolved 2017 Endeavor 38K, 8 new batteries installed Sept 15, 25. Today Jan 9th everything dead.

More than likely when both banks are completely flat the onboard smart charger cannot see the batteries, it thinks there's nothing there and remains in standby. You may need to put an external charger on the house batteries for awhile, but check the following first. #1 - is your salesman...

    Dometic A/C problems

Yes, it has always been new units. That is a good suggestion. If it is the unit, which I suspect it is, I will add a soft start. Thank you.

How do you moochdock without 30 amp hookup?

...get an adapter (below) to run all the small stuff, but you wont be able to run an AC. You might be able to run an AC if you install a “soft start” kit (second pic) on it. I don't have any experience with these but others here seem to have had good results. I’d post another question such as...

    Micro-air Easystart/Bluetooth

The Micro-Air soft start has no dependency on or connection to a thermostat. It is a capacitor replacement.

    Generator advice

Your AC might require less to start, might be smaller unit, or could have a soft start processor already in it, and might be newer then mine. Glad yours works, 3000 is your running watts most likely, not your surge watts.

    50amp splitter Y cable

...usage and unless there is a pms involved there's no chance of running two rooftop units on 30 amp, ordinarily (unless the rooftop has a soft start capacitor) a 30 amp won't support a running 15k btu unit and microwave simultaneously. I suspect running a 50 amp trailer through a 30 amp dogbone...

Properly turning off your Dometic RV Roof Air Conditioners

Education needed! What does "soft start" mean & what does it actually do? Maybe gradually increase the current flow at start up? What are the benefits, other than what TJ just mentioned?

    Tying invertor to AC circuit

Just ask this question with no details. 2014 Dynamax Dynastar 32XL. Installed lithium batteries and solar. Soft start on AC units. Would like to run unit while traveling from invertor. How is the best way to put AC Units on invertor circuit. They are only on shore and generator power currently.
  20. JoeHogan

    A/C soft start units

We have a soft start installed on the front Ac/HP so we can run that one on the inverter when on battery power.
