    Brisket on a smoker?

Definitely a happy medium when it comes to trimming like the pros. When you see Jeremy teach the technique, you’ll think two things: All that waste…you’re kidding me, and, why bother? I do know that most inexperienced chefs will be nervous and underestimate the time needed for a big brisket; I...

    CENTRAMATIC Dynamic Wheel Balancers!

Hey Joe. I’ve heard about Balance Masters and the only thing I can say is that my shop said they used to work better when they had mercury (or more) in them. They supposedly had to either limit or remove that due to toxicity. Centramatic confirmed they’ve never used mercury and have never had...

    Open roads

Since their inception! Have turned dozens onto it! Silly not to use the TSD Fuel Program, if for nothing else...pay at the pump!

    CENTRAMATIC Dynamic Wheel Balancers!

I remember RoadForce a few years ago when my performance shop first got their machine. I wasn't very impressed...at the time...given the much bigger expense. My issue has always been how fast they get out of balance, being off-road and such...especially if the weights come off!

    CENTRAMATIC Dynamic Wheel Balancers!

Great to hear, Ronnie! I know what ya mean about the smaller tires. I've actually considered putting them on my Raptor. I was told bag weights don't work well with them though. Never seems like the Raptor stays in balance, and I just paid YET ANOTHER $60 to have all four balanced! argh

    CENTRAMATIC Dynamic Wheel Balancers!

Wow!!! I'm stunned at the difference in smoothness in our Newell's ride! The first set was installed with the new tires in the Steers, and drove home from Oklahoma. I can't believe how different the feel is; but I can say I found myself going faster than normal because of the smoother feel...

Where were you with your NEWELL today?

A small little, no frills, spot to rest along I-40, called Sky City RV, in Acomita New Mexico. Ya gotta be on your toes when you get off the freeway, cuz check-in is AT THE CASINO/HOTEL LOBBY! You can "call in" for a reservation, but ya gotta "go in" to pay...and it'll probably be one of the...

Where were you with your NEWELL today?

Had a good stay with a large group for the Texas Eclipse! Found a really nice, fresh, and BIG resort called Stone Oak RV Ranch in Georgetown, TX. Lots of wide open spaces, and more to come as they're under construction for the second phase. Super nice clubhouse facilities as well as a full...

    Brisket on a smoker?

For the "Pictures or it didn't happen" crowd... But...darnnit! It's been too long, and now I've gotta hankerin to throw one one the grill ASAP!

    Brisket on a smoker?

Well, happen to know a few Californians who can do a mighty fine Brisket, and will stand up against any I've had from anywhere...thank you very much. ;-) Neal, are you protecting your brisket from your deflection plate? That plate can give off too much radiant heat and end up drying your...

Odd question about towed battery charging.

The standard configuration for a six way plug is to have 12 V constant power supply to the center pin. So what I do is I check that center pin for continuity up to the positive terminal of the battery if there’s a wire connected to it. Another way is to remove the six way plug and see if there...

    Rand McNally GPS

RV TRIP WIZARD has been THE BEST tool I’ve used over 5 years. Every trip is preplanned using it. I will, then, double check the route suggested by my Garmin RV1095 which has the same desired features of your RM. If the route is the same…I’m done! Simple as that! I’ve found no reason to go...

    Blue ox release

Sheridan, I, almost always, will put my truck into gear and let it roll forward...with only a slight amount of pressure. That way, when I pull the release handles on the Nighthawk, it gives me a loose setup and the pins come out easily. I have all Roadmaster components, but would do the same...

Question Planning a Stay at Angel Fire RV Resort this summer

BTW, I just stayed at THE BIG TEXAN RV RANCH and was very surprised! Clean and fresh; and didn't mind the extra freeway noise...I'd gladly stay there again.

Question Planning a Stay at Angel Fire RV Resort this summer

Not sure if you meant "VEGA, TX", but no matter...I was curious to see what RVTW would suggest from Amarillo and can tell you THIS is the way we came out of Angel Fire when we drove east into Amarillo. So, as mentioned, the road through Cimarron is a rural 2-lane through fields and past NRA...

    YouTube vs anything else

Sorry. I think you may be mistaken. This is not for me. I was simply parroting what my friends have been told and forwarded that info here.

    YouTube vs anything else

Ah...you're referring to the monthly fee of $250, which only gets you 50GB. BUT....LOOK AT THE HARDWARE; THE FLAT HP ANTENNA...it's $2500! It's a real "gotcha" with the new "mobile priority" plans!! I had a wireless engineer friend of mine give me the heads up LONG ago...and told me his clients...

Alert Heavy wind/ rain in CA

We’re fine in SoCal. Hillsides, Coastline, and BurnScar areas have major mudslides as usual. No wind events, and nothing like Santa Anas. That’s when trucks have big issues. We will be ok.

Border checkpoints to consider in trip planning

Sheridan, I found this topic very interesting, and have learned a lot from wanting to "dig" a little further...it's been eye-opening; to say the least! I just found this good page from ACLU... https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/border-zone It mentions the 100-mile concept you mentioned...
