Question How Does One Change the Generator Oil Filer on 2024 Thor Aria 3401?

I fibd the best thing to do is google the owners manual or look in the bag that came with your rv. I did some work on my Dad's 4000 watt LP generator on his Airstream. I knew it would be different than my QD8000 generator. I looked at the Data plate and googled it. Downloaded the .pdf and...

    Major battery service blunder!

New to me… YouTube has a bunch of videos showing how to add water to AGM batteries. New to me…

Demco Air Force One Check Valves

https://www.etrailer.com/s.aspx?qry=demco+check+valve&furl=-vw-1-pg-Accessories_and_Parts I actually looked at my initial install and I see two green/black check valves. So, I had them cancel the initial order and ordered two. I'm not much for messing around with see if?...I just want to swap...

Demco Air Force One Check Valves

My Air Force One is from 2016...SMI was the company at the time, before it got rolled into Demco. I have mushy brakes sometimes. I recently pressure bled the brake lines with fresh fluid and performed the ABS procedure. It helped, but I have always wondered if the check valves could be the...

Air Dryer Purging when Engine if Off

I read your thread and you were on the right track. I don't know the model you have...but they generally work the same way. To purge, there needs to be air. With the compressor not running or running but unloaded...[ie at cut-out pressure and not bled down to cut-in pressure]. Once the purge...

Question ❓Riddle me this Batman (LiFePo4 vs. Vehicle Alternators)

If your rig is setup to charge, you could modify it. Just try to make sure the a battery of some sort is wired thru the breakaway switch for the trailer brakes. Don't think you have to worry about the alternator being over taxed if the breakaway cable has been pulled.

Question ❓Riddle me this Batman (LiFePo4 vs. Vehicle Alternators)

I believe the problem is not one of voltages. It is in the internal resistance of the batteries. The LiFePO4 battery has a low internal resistance…tag a bunch of them together and it’s almost like dropping a metal bar across your battery terminals. The amperages are driven up and the poor...

    Major battery service blunder!

It defies logic. Absorbed Glass Mat, means the electrolyte is impregnated in a glass mat…so having lead plates submerged in liquid electrolyte is by definition a flooded lead acid battery. If you can sample the solution in a hydrometer…it’s flooded. The manufacturer has somehow misled people...

    Air level system

Here’s an example of the Freightliner reference for our coach.

    Air level system

Our coach is on a Freightliner chassis. But the ride height adjustment is usually something that would be dictated by the Chassis makers. You can peek under the coach. Our coach has a height sensing valve at the left and right front airbags. And a single height adjuster on the rear main...

    Major battery service blunder!

Interesting...AGM, as you mentioned...in my mind are maintenance free. My Lifeline AGM's have no place to add water. To me...you can have a Maintenance Free batteries...like our chassis starting batteries are. But, AGM. Absorbent Glass Mat. There isn't supposed to be exposed lead plates and...

Question Best place to buy OASIS Hydronic Heater service kits?

UPDATE: They responded to a Facebook review tonight on Messenger…and said they are processing orders as fast as they can. So, good to know they aren’t out of business perhaps as the BBB.org complaint had inferred. Had a nice conversation with Austin. They are moving from a 38,000 sqft...

Best way to get Maintenance parts?

Rusty, Any Freightliner shop can use the last 6 digits of your VIN to access Parts Pro. It filters parts for those specific to your coach. A lot of times…it’s a great way to find the parts you need in the road. However, not all are “Oasis” dealers… so, finding motorhome specific parts can...

    Onan AGS temperature control

Newmar wired the Magnum AGS system well for this. The problem, which Neal addressed is knowing that you have to 1) have it the AGS Temp=ext. This means it isn’t looking for a thermocouple reading…it is looking for an external trigger. What external trigger??? Well…you know the control...

    Resolved Not good

I’m used to the ME-RC or ME-ARC controls. If the inverter charger control allows you to turn the charger OFF…the engine isn’t running (no alternator supply) …then removing the house catastrophic fuse will likely cut out the entire DC system. Minimize the load when doing this to prevent a lot of...

    Resolved Not good

I do think that a surge in the AC side of the house could cause a surge on the dc side thru the charge circuitry. This would be a non-event for most dc related resources. However, microprocessor controlled items are very susceptible to these surges. Even dc circuits with relay coils…when...

    Resolved Not good

Unless his house has more than one catastrophic fuse…or the house disconnect has fried…I’m unaware of a way a portion of the house is dc powered and another part is not. It’s easy to trace with a voltmeter… if you know the wiring route. I can only speak of my Ventana…but the DC power flows…...

    Tire Monitoring System

Good stuff. Finally got around to I stalling the new E618 EEZTire. It went very well. I ordered the booster at the same time...and swapped it out with my old TST booster. I had put the project off for a while because I wanted to 3d print a RAM Mount Ball adapter for thr display head. Glad...

What gauge wire to run between house batteries

Valid question. Not sure there is a correct answer. It may be as simple as why do they color Pos and Neg with RED&BLACK or BLACK&WHITE? Standards go a long way toward reducing the time it takes a technician to correctly identify the wiring architecture and do work without wasting a lot of...
