Harvest Hosts buys Escapees RV Club

...law and daughter of the founders of Escapees RV Club have sold (what appears to be) the Escapees and Xscapers membership data base to Harvest Hosts. Escapee mail forwarding, RV parks and SKP co-ops are not part of the deal. From my business experience, having been involved in acquisitions...

    Harvest Hosts Complete membership

Do coupon codes come out at all for the combined Harvest Hosts/Golf/Boondockers Welcome membership? I've seen lots of codes for HH and HH golf, but I'd like the coverage that having BW as well would give.

A Welcome to Escapees from Joel at Harvest Hosts Escapees RV Club July 22, 2024 Dear Escapees RV Club Members, I hope this message finds you well! My name is Joel Holland, CEO of Harvest Hosts, and I am thrilled to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and share some exciting...

Harvest Hosts members - annoyance with preferences

I don't know why I have to set my preferences such as length of rig, pets allowed, etc. on the Harvest Hosts website. I've raised this issue with them in the past and I suggest any and all to please suggest the same. Advise them (feedback/suggestion) to remember our preferences. We should not...

    Thoughts on Harvest Hosts

I do all the trip planning, reservations, etc for our trips. Jerry does the driving, and all the hard work of maintaining our Dutch Star. I know there has been a bit of discussion on this subject, but hoping for more. We have paid for this for a couple of years, but have not used it once. I...

...dabbling in RV Trip Wizard trying to figure out where I'm going to go as my trip will only be a month or so. I see they now integrate Harvest Hosts which is nice. You can connect your Harvest Hosts membership if desired. I'll probably still use the HH site as I like it but will see how this...

BLOG Harvest Hosts gets competition from new lower-cost alternative

Yes, been a member of FMCA for many years. I'm talking specifically about this article comparing Harvest Hosts and the RV Overnights app (whatever it's called) that's being compared. I have not used that one, I think others on this forum have mentioned it, I'm just familiar with and have enjoyed...

I just got on to a new site for RVers?

I use and enjoy Harvest Hosts. It's not necessarily a savings as you are supposed to either shop at the hosts business or donate to them a small fee. It ends up costing the same as a campground or near to it but it provides unique destinations. Some have power, some are boondocking (dry camping).

FRVA is the new name of FMCA it is not a partner. They also have more benefits than Harvest Hosts. Bill

    Alternative to Harvest Host

I used to belong to Harvest Host but never used it. Many places do not have clear access for my coach, and I won't park on grass with my weight, so I canceled. An article in RV Travel mentioned another option. https://www.rvtravel.com/harvest-hosts-rival-landtrust-alternative/

My bad, should have specifically added that I was talking about the RV Overnights membership.

What memberships would you suggest for a newbie?

Heading out in a few days with an ambitious trip out west. We have a new to us 2018 Forester. Wondering whether the prevailing wisdom would recommend breakdown insurance, roadside assistance, and memberships such as Good Sam or Harvest Hosts. Is there value in these?

...breweries, golf courses, museums and others. We have also used the BoonDockers Welcome sites. There is no required fee to stay at Harvest Hosts however it is suggested that you do purchase something. Many Harvest Host will offer power for a fee as well as extra days. We use it enough that...

    Harvest Hosts

For anyone interested in joining harvest hosts you can click here to use my affiliated link (yes, I benefit from the link - full disclosure) and you get 15% off. I joined Harvest Hosts several months ago as it is a great deal for one night stops at wineries and if you opt in to golf courses...

...RV Assoc (FMCA) yesterday about that membership. They are now a partner and FRVA members can join for $29.99 for the year. May have to check it out as the membership pricing is much more in line with something we would pickup. Harvest Hosts got too expensive to make it worth while for us.

Does anyone stay over nite in a rest stop.

...some rest areas are better catered to RV's, that would probably be fine but I'd make my best effort to use a campground, harvest host, or love's stop. I prefer to be safe. I've never done the walmart thing, Harvest Hosts in parking lots of restaurants/wineries are about as sketch as I want to...

BLOG Harvest Hosts gets competition from new lower-cost alternative

I just rejoined Harvest Hosts during their 30% off Memorial Day sale as I'm getting ready to set sail again soon. I like their system and growing number of options (stops), haven't looked at others, but it works well for overnights. I want to try golf courses this next time around so I can...
