Problem 2022 Dutch Star High Tire Temperature

I would not write off the TPMS system as just not working. It is reading the information the sensors are sending. I'm no expert, but my thinking is there is sometime wrong on that drive axle, dragging brake, bearing, low fluid, etc. You have drum brakes on the drive axle, have you preformed a...

    Tire air pressure

Get a TPMS and start at the recommended cold pressure. Note your increase in psi and temp. Lower it some and watch them again. Factor in the weather conditions. It may take some time but you will be safe at the start and you can determine what is best as you drive in different conditions.

Problem 2022 Dutch Star High Tire Temperature

I'm not a fan of the Valor TPMS either but was lead to believe it was set up for use in Spartan Chassis. I don't think it's related to a faulty reading. Hopefully I'm wrong but IMHO you have some serious issues going on. Please keep us updated?

Ok, EEZ TPMS. Y’all have convinced me. But...

my CDO requires that I also carry a good tire pressure gauge. Anybody got a favorite? ( CDO is a lot like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, the way they’re supposed to be!)

TPMS Issues - Gen 1 -- NHTSA Recall Campaign

I'm not having any trouble with my TPMS since they put in the 2nd antenna; however, all the radio interference does impact the Girard Awning console in the Driver's OH cabinet and it often won't run both awnings at same time.

    Tire pressure

...guys see at your pressures? I run 95 in the rear and 115 cold in the front and I occasionally see 130 + on the inside drive tires. Of course the TPMS is constantly warning of high temps and pressures. I have yet to do a four corner weigh but I know we are going to be light as we really only...

    TPMS Recommendation

I have used TST tpms for years...I do use the flow thru sensors. Safe travels.

Why can't RV builders figure out the small trailer market?

...with your knees knocking your wife's, to eat, watch TV, and maybe even sleep? You hate closets and chests of drawers? You don't think you need TPMS, brakes, or back-up camera? You ENJOY getting 10mpg from your tow vehicle even when you're not towing it, and you love parking it outdoors...

    Tire pressure monitors

This is what happens when you don't have a TPMS. It's the next thing on my list to purchase.

    First Purchase After RV

Thinking you have the essentials to hookup on arrival, I would suggest surge protector as my first purchase and TPMS as second.

Question New to RVing. Upgrade truck?

Just so you don't run out of things to consider Charles. One other thing I will toss out there is getting a TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) for those TT tires. I think it is about the biggest piece of RV safety equipment anyone can invest in. Most systems are simple buttons that screw...

    TPMS vs Tire Pressure Gauge

PressurePro is the system that’s integrated into our SilverLeaf. It’s very reliable. I’m not gonna balk at it since the sensors last well over 7 years and really weren’t that expensive to replace. Having a sealed unit does have a slight advantage, I suppose, not to mention being fast to replace.

    Good TPMS?

    Thanks for the info.

    Tire pressure monitors

Just spent another $25 on my TPMS for the lifetime warranty. Now even my wife is happy with the purchase!:):)

    TPMS Recommendation

...air from the towing vehicle for toad braking. I chose an RVi Brake. Soon after I got the brake, they introduced their Tire Patrol, which is a TPMS that integrates into their tablet for the brake, so toad braking and TPMS on one tablet. As with many new technologies, there were some glitches...

Question New to me 2015 Newmar Baystar 3220 newbie questions

...3. Never used chocks. Never lift the tires off the ground when leveling. Call or email snap pads with your model number and they can tell you which ones you need. 4. TPMS is highly recommended. I have had very good luck with Tireminder, but there are others that many people like as well.

Question Is it a bad idea to remove and reinstall tires on a rim?

I think there is a good lesson to be learned from this story (thank you) in that if your tire has an internal battery powered TPMS then change the battery at each tire change! I never thought to ask this when my Chevy Colorado tires were replaced and will do so next time.

    Question New TOAD research

And, that's why a good TPMS with sensors on the toad tires as well is a great investment! TJ
