    Well what I poorly conveyed is that I meant an actual soft start, such as Micro-Air vs a hard start capacitor that some will argue is the same thing.

    Sorry, didn't see that. The soft start usually starts the fan first then kicks in the compressor. My Easy Start uses the fan and compressor capacitor.

    I didn't keep the original parts. I have another soft start on the way and I'll check the components tomorrow to see if there are more capacitors and get numbers off of them to order and make sure the fan motor spins freely which I believe it does.

    I'm using a MicroAir Soft Start I installed years ago. I wonder if I should replace it? Chat GPT had me put the unit in fan only mode and put that on high, the fan did not blow. When it's in cool mode it seems like it's cooling, just not blowing. I'll get on the roof and see if the motor spins...

    Easier to just get a multimeter that will test microfarads and test the capacitor.

    Yes, in the truck stop or rest area, I need to run the generator to use A/C, so it is on all day, if it hot. Inverter is not big enough to start A/C, even with soft start. Make note: stay far away from Kevin.😂😎 I paid big bucks for the generate, therefore I must use it.😎
