    Alternative to Harvest Host

Thought I’d share a find from this am; RV Parky! For those nights you just need a rest before heading out in the am to your destination. Very interesting site and full of great info! Happy and safe travels all!

Question What RV memberships, clubs, etc are you a member of (2024 edition)

...that is affiliated with them NKK Good Sam only because we have one of their credit cards Had KOA - don’t stay at them normally so not worth it Had Harvest Hosts - now that we are full time may renew with all the less expensive “come back” offers flying around. Open Roads for the fuel discount

I just got on to a new site for RVers?

After years of being a founding member, I dropped our membership and here's why: 1. We had MANY, MANY problems with the Hosts who said "oh, sure...no problem for your RV!" Despite us EMPHASIZING our size (45' long by 13' tall) and weight (60k lbs), we found they were nowhere near prepared for...

Harvest Hosts buys Escapees RV Club

Thanks for the correction - I mis-read the OP. My traveling habits have changed over the years and I’ve found that while HH is a great resource, they are no longer of use to me so I dropped my membership. These days Escapees looks to be more my style.

    Rv overnights

Look interesting but I will stick with Harvest Host for now. While it does have some good features it also states must spend $30 per overnight at the facility. We do not mind spending money at our hosts and many times we will spend more than that at a Harvest Host. We love the serenity, quiet...

Question What RV memberships, clubs, etc are you a member of (2024 edition)

RV-related memberships: FMCA, undecided about renewing Harvest Hosts, reluctantly just renewed and booked seven nights during the next month Good Sam, don’t care for the company, but benefit from discounts Escapees, love the group and use the mail service KOA Rewards AIM, it’s a good group...

    Recommendations for favorite rv destinations

...to do and come beautiful BLM land. Some is quite accessible for big rigs. When we are traveling to a destination we love to use Harvest Hosts they are he best. And while you may spend money at these places you are getting something in return. We are not fans of RV parks and for the most...

Victron users - how to get the new beta GUI for Cerbo GX

...the Cerbo GX, etc. there is a new user interface coming out. When I reached out to SES when I needed support on my last boondocking (harvest hosts) stay Brian asked if I wanted to check this out. Sure I said - it's really nice. Here's how to get it if you want to try it out now, but it's...

Question What RV memberships, clubs, etc are you a member of (2024 edition)

At one time we considered Good Sam, KOA, Harvest Hosts, Boondockers Welcome. Passport America among others but didn't see any on-going value. We're set up for boondocking and maybe only pay for 5 or 6 nights a year at RV parks, otherwise, we're maximizing our usage at western TT parks. FMCA for...

Harvest Hosts buys Escapees RV Club

The email marketing has begun! I've never, ever received email from Harvest Hosts before yesterday and then again this morning, offering a 25% discount if I sign up through Escapees. The emails highlight HH spots with electric, water and multiple nights..... I always though they were boondocking...

Question Do RV's come with too many house batteries?

...the average Class A owner that goes from CG to CG with full intention of shore power service. Those of us that pursue off grid stops or isolated locations such as even Harvest Hosts, Walmart, etc. will have solar, gen, and battery capacity. What percentage of the Class A community does that?

    Campground Costs

You can join "CampersCard", which is a sister company of Harvest Hosts. I think it's $39 bucks and then you get discounted rates at all the participating campgrounds. I believe that today was their official "launch date".

    Alternative to Harvest Host

I always look to see if they prohibit generators. Most of the time, the hosts that appeal to me, in the location I need, are either silent on generators (implied acceptance) or state they are allowed. If I feel that I will be needing the generator and they prohibit or greatly restrict, then I...
