Searching for a bike rack that is hitch mount, platform style for 2 e-bikes.
Bike dealer cautioned me to only buy a RV rated hitch. My intent is to mount the rack to my TOAD (2019 GMC Canyon) hitch receiver.
As I dove into the details, I discovered very few racks qualify for RV use. For...
You can use the forum search to find posts on bikeracks, I personally use a Kuat and really like it.

...low. I’m planning on just some folding chairs, table, table top grill and some yard lights etc.
I’ve seen several post about RV special bikeracks but didn’t see anything about trays. Amazon has several listed with bags. What should I be looking for in a tray. What have you used and been...
Due to the wide variety of bikeracks and the unique shape of RVs it’s not a simple task to select a camper bike rack. Bikeracks can vary in the number bikes and types of bikes they can accommodate. Also they are not compatible with all types of vehicles. So in order to search for the best RV...
...axle to the bike rack creates more violent movements which will create more stress that a typical passenger vehicle.
Watching how much the rear bikeracks jump around on bumps (on the back of travel trailers) makes me not want to use a bike rack on the RV, unless it was significantly...
For anyone shopping for an e-bike be sure to understand the weight of the bike and that you'll need to be able to load/unload it. Some bikeracks offer ramps. These bikes are significantly heavier than traditional non e-bikes.
I’ve found that etrailer.com has good reviews and recommendations on bikeracks for RV vehicles. We purchased a bike rack for 2 bikes from them. Finding a bike rack for 4 bikes would be more difficult.
You might want to make sure your bicycle carrier is recommended to be mounted on a towed trailer/vehicle. Many manufacturers will void any warranty if it is not rated.

The e-bikes are compelling for sure. They look like a ton of fun! One question I have is what is the best way to carry them? Do you use a bike rack on the back of your toad? Are there special bikeracks for e-bikes?
If I were to use one, and I won't! I would use the kind that has a receiver at both frame rails.
Although it is more trouble to deal with I pull a harbor freight tools trailer behind my fifth.
I still haul very little weight, but failure of a tray can kill those unfortunate enough to be...
Thank you for the excellent response, David. A lot has happened since my original post and I ended up going with a 1up USA super duty rack.

It's more expensive than most other racks but it's really high quality and SO easy to use...
We enjoy the Rad Runner e-bike(s). Bikeracks designed to carry heavier e-bikes were really pricey so I opted for a motorcycle carrier. And actually got the Harbor Freight version. With a little fabrication (alteration) this carrier handles the e-bikes just fine. So for less than $150 I have...
We've been happy with this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09T9BCPNS/?tag=rvf01-20
120# capacity, sturdy and easy on/off. If we're hauling our toad and bikes.. the bike rack goes on the Jeep.
Going by carrying capacity, many racks are light weight. Put them on the rear of a coach where...
...our Yakima bike rack has been, a shell with a bike rack in the bed just made the most sense to me.
So I started looking into truck bed bikeracks this evening (I’ll probably go with the Advantage SportRack 4) but I happened across the Thule Insta-Gator and it made
me think of @Neal. If I...
I've seen a couple pickups with bikes standing up on/in the bed. They could be hand made but question if there are there bikeracks for use in the bed of pickups?
...hold two 65 lb electric bikes then you need to go to a hitch installer and have a hitch welded in place that will take this load.
Most e-bikeracks are not designed for use on a 5th wheel trailer or most motorhomes so read the rack manufacturers load specifications. The stronger ones do...
Either the Thule XT series or the Kuat as these are the top two rocks in the business, I believe. Yakima just doesn't do as good a job as they used to for bikeracks. The Thule is going to be pricey. We use a Thule XT-Pro for our bikes. The Ghule will also accept fat tire bikes.
