...A new favorite phrase of mine, “simple is not easy, simple is hard”.
I would like to keep things simple. In this example would like to have ALL TPMS sensors on a single unit in the coach. But this is not easy. So I have resigned myself to having the coach TPMS on the Bendix built-in unit and...
...a little and then short burst to release pressure just until my digital readout hits the top end of desired pressure. I find that as soon as I get to the desired pressure there is another short burst left before it changes by -1psi, that usually allows for getting the TPMS on at the right...
Looks like Newmar has finally found a fix for the TPMS issue regarding lost signal. The Tech moved the antenna on the chassis (down) and signal appears stable now.
One more item to check off the list.
Since taking ownership of my 2022 London Aire, I have been plagued by random failures of the TPMS. I have read the many reports online regarding this, and I followed the procedures everyone had posted.
I had 5 separate trips to NIRVC to have the TPMS worked on, and each time a random failure...
When at Newmar Annual Service one of the items was the outside drive wheels loosing TPMS signal. The chassis guy at Newmar relocated the antenna on the Chassis “down”, not exactly sure what that means nor entails.
However the end result is a steady signal the last 700 miles or so.
This appears...
I have the TST-507-RV on my 2020 Bay Star 3616 and when traveling the beeper goes off every now and then and sometimes they register an outrageous temp then they settle down and report the correct temp. It keeps going off it then runs for a while and beeps again. I keep shutting it off. Any...
They can be a hassle.
Looking for metal valve stems for my Jeep Cherokee so I can install the TST sensors and have found none that would connect to the internal TPMS sensor.
Haven’t looked in a while and I’m sure they are out there.
We got an EEZ TPMS system this month and immediately had all kinds of issues. PPLmotorhomes, where we used to get all our service, couldn't help - We meant to buy it through them and have them install it and set it up and ready to go but they couldn't handle it!
So after doing a lot of...
...the lower aspect of our dash directly below the steering column due to a faulty install in our 2015 Wrangler after 3 years use with no problem. TPMS alerted high temp. with no place to stop until next exit ~ 1 mile. Infrared reading on well ventilated front mag wheels was 237 degrees...
Thank you, that is really good advice. They were replaced within the last eight or nine months according to the person I got it from. I'm going to get a good look at them and I'm also going with a TPMS
I have a Spartan Chassis and love the integrated TOAD TPMS sensor information (PSI and temps) being displayed on my dash along with those of the tires on my rig. I used TireMinder for years on my previous rig and on my boat trailer and its tow vehicle. I like this setup much better. However...
...failures even though the tires "looked" perfect. I had complete failure on a steer tire with under 10k miles on it. And yes inflation, balance TPMS readings and all alignment were in spec at the time. I think tires sitting receive more damage than tires in use, and I will not ever trust RV...
Anyone have a pic of TPMS chassis antenna location . I am considering trying to relocate the antenna to the outside of the chassis rail to allow for better signal.
I chose the TST Truck TPMS before I took delivery of my 2017 Newmar Ventana. At that time it was the black LCD display which I really liked. I bought the repeater and mounted in the half bath for easy access to the 12V fuse panel to tap into for power. Works great with the toad in that location...
...of the models including the new super c up to the king air.
Nice looking when you are not going to buy a new coach 😊
Lots of vendors in the two buildings where they are setup. Did get a few things in there including the TST system with new monitor and display to replace our aging TPMS setup.
...partially as a giant car with a bathroom in it, and partially to do local camping. Currently we won't be taking off cross-country 4 months at a time.
We are pretty well equipped in terms of plumbing and water flow. I did pick up a surge protector and a good quality air compressor, as well as...
Unfortunately I am unfamiliar with the TPMS antenna location nor the "fix" that Newmar implemented. However, I can attest to the fact that it does work, at least in current moderate temperatures. Next summer will be the real test in the 100+F road temps.
