My traveling friend and I are sitting in the Newmar service department parking lot waiting for service tomorrow. The place is almost full. Several new coaches parked in the middle slots and all the back row is full. Two vacant sites next to me. Snow flurries on and off today and more expected...
Just an FYI. The auto door lock system will not work if the door is OPEN. It took me a while to figure this out as I was working on the door handle. Just before going into extensive trouble shooting I closed the door and everything worked.
Maybe this is the answer?
The 2023 article contained this statement:
This BP acquisition will mean that all three major U.S. truck stop companies — TA, Love’s and Pilot Flying J — will be privately owned.
Berkshire now own Pilot Flying J.
Those of us using Trip Wizard as our planning tool have you notice that some Petro fuel stops change names when selected? One example and there are many is the Petro stop in Cottondale, Al. On the Trip Wizard map it shows as Petro but when selected it changes to Speedway Pilot Travel Center...
I was on the road from June until late September last year. They asked once or twice about my location to which I replied I was traveling. I was asked once back home to make sure my address was correct which it was.
Jabber Jaw, I’m in your group as a senior boomer and not in tune with all this technology. I decided after 30+ years with DTV to try the streaming. This past summer we tripped to Canada for 4 months. Prior to leaving I had Best Buy come out and change out all my TVs to smart one and setup...
1). You could have lost the cotter pin that hold the pin in the clevis that connects the motor to the steps.
2). Someone might have stepped on the steps as they were moving and it stripped the motor gear.
Either of these will just let the steps swing freely.
I would check the compartment below the drivers seat. Lots of fuses in that area which control items dealing with the front of the coach. I see an F24 fuse listed as shade lockout.
I guess I'm just too simple. I purchased a knife blade disconnect that I attached to either the positive or negative battery post. I opened the knife blade when the battery needed to be disconnected for towing. This limited my human error factor.
My suggestion if you're going to reposition a wiper arm while removed take a stiff wire brush and remove any residue material inside the splines. This will allow the splines to make new groves otherwise it will be a slick surface.
THIS IS NOT A TECH WRITE UP !!!
If you have dual motors on the FWS this is probably the controller information. KIB DCS 100. https://newpar.newmarcorp.com/instance1Env99NEWMAR/html/images/SS2011KIBDSC100.pdf. There are (5) five buttons on the control board. The center button is for programing...
All the trantorque bushing should have an alignment mark on them. The alignment marks should have been put on by the techs once they were torqued. There should be a mark on all three parts. If the alignment marks are straight I would doubt it slipped. All on my coach are still aligned after...
If it's a Spartan chassis it should be located in the same area. The fuse are behind a round cover located on the back wall ahead of the chassis batteries. That is on the Spartan chassis I looked at
Myself and several other rv friends tow our jeeps products (Gladiators, JL & JK) with aftermarket bumpers that are listed as good for towing. You just need to fined the one you like.
I would if you haven't already take pictures and send to Newmar Essex CS person and the Service Manager. If not satisfied then on up the line. I would have a lot of no answers before giving up.
