10 State westerm US trip report with our Tesla T@B combo.
Hey folks. Made it home after 8 weeks on the road. We toured Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona California, Oregon, and Washington. We hiked some amazing hikes, saw some amazing places and learned a little American history in the process. Also met a lot of nice and sometimes super interesting people. Car and trailer performed well but after three seasons and over 24000 kilometres our trailer tires are looking a little tired. We'll be replacing them before the next trip in the fall.
Altogether 8 weeks on the road.
Total distance 9281 kilometers,
Total power was 2812 kwh.
Avg energy was 303 watt hours per kilometer.
Total energy cost was 955 bucks Canadian currency (plus or minus 20 bucks long story
) Roughly half our charging was done in campgrounds.
Our highest pass was somewhere in Colorado at over 10,000 feet. And then down to the coast on highway 1 California.
Our 14 year old chihuahua was a champion hiker for the whole trip although we picked him up and put him in his pack on some of the steeper hikes. We are in our early sixties and had a hard time keeping up to him sometimes.
Anyway. A few pics from the trip. Our favorite states were Wyoming (Yellowstone), Utah, Northern California and Oregon.
We did a LOT of hiking. Glad we could do this in our 60’s. Some of the places we hiked will not be doable in 10 years or so.
Enjoy
