Good morning
We are still fairly new with a class A. Coming up on 1 year. I was wondering if anyone has any experience traveling with out a tow vehicle. Do you have any issue of renting a vehicle when you get to your destination? What do you do for 1 or 2 nights stay at a place? How do you get back and forth from car Rental place?

We have e-bikes and they are too big to fit in tow vehicle. Was thing of getting a trailer to put e-bikes on to take with us. That do fold but one is a trike and it is fairly heavy and large to try and squeeze in SUV with another foldable e-bike.

Just curious on the feasibility of renting transportation when we get to where we are going.

Thanks in advance Dan

We did it once.

Used Enterprise to rent from. They came to the campground to pick us up, go to the rental office, etc etc.

We were about 45 minutes from their office so we lost a bunch of time the first day and the last getting and returning the car.

It worked but that was the one and only time we did that.

We've been doing it for three years and I'm still undecided if I want to go to all the expense and trouble of towing. We will choose places that have shuttles, are close to everything or Uber. Granted we haven't gone to places where we would stay for a prolonged period, I think 4 days at one place has been our max and only once.

A long time ago, I tried to travel without a tow car. It was a hassle and it only worked if there was an enterprise in the town because they will come get you, drop you off etc. Many locations are closed on Sunday. Hands down, having a toad is much easier for convenience access etc.

Thanks for all the replies
