2015 Ventana LE WON'T START

Batteries read 12.8 volts. All I get is one ugh out of the starter each time I try to start. Usually when batteries are low I will get a click, click, click out of the starter. Any suggestions? Maybe starter? Also getting a hot electrical oder after trying to start.

Check all chassis battery cables to see they are tight. If you are getting that good old electric smoke it can be a loose connector, or worse.

First thing is to check voltage while cranking (under load). You may have a bad cell in the battery. It will show 12.8V while dormant, but will collapse under 10V while under load.

Do you have the battery boost switch option to start off of house batteries if needed?
