I own a 2021 Coachmen Encore 325SS Class A gas powered motorhome. Recently, after driving for 5 hours in a heavy rain, my check engine light came on and the engine died. The mechanic discovered the factory air intake into the air box was not adequate to keep out rain water. The engineering was flawed and the air box filled with water, soaked the air filter, and fouled the mass airflow sensor. As the Encore was 3 months over the one year warranty, Coachmen refused to warranty the damage. My bill was $1090 for repairs. My question for everyone with a similar RV is, have you ever had a similar problem? I was able to fix the problem for about $5 and if there are others out there with the same motor and design problem, I can forward you the fix. Coachmen acknowledges the problem of a missing necessary shroud exists, but they will not warranty as they say mine is the only complaint they have received. If others have experienced this problem, we can unite to go after Coachmen. Please let me know.
