Question Air conditioning??

When our town lost power after Hurricane Beryl, we pulled our 340 hp Ventana in front of our house and lived there all week. Used about 10 gal fuel maybe. On the other hand, we saw long lines at the gas station for people with gas gen - they were saying they could only run about 24 hrs before needing a refill. I don’t know what fuel capacity they had, or what all they were running.
We felt pretty snug (and smug) in our coach.

We run with just the truck AC. I had painted the roof with a UV reflective paint and tinted the front 3 windows. I close the door to the bedroom/main bath. I have an inverter for the fridge so it will run on the house battery. Now I do have the fron house ac set just in case it does get too hot. If so I’ll crank up the gen to supplement cooling.

Trying to picture a 35 hp compressor. That's like an industrial duty $25,000 unit. I think about "3.5 HP" would have been closer to reality. Decimal points are important.
