Welcome aboard! I hope your maiden voyage goes well. I always recommend that a maiden voyage be in your own driveway for a couple of nights. That way, if you have forgotten anything, it's just a few steps away and not a big deal. Plus if your run into any technical difficulties, help is not far away. Like team bradfield, we find that big holiday weekends are usually a $hit show. We try to find an out of the way place to hibernate since we full time.

we got a spot for 3 days before the 4th I'm on my last vacation before I retire at the end of July so its working out ok, you were not the only one that warned me about the holidays, and we will keep that in consideration
