Question 5th wheel hitches

Do you lock your 5th wheel hitch? i.e Replace pins with locks ??

I have a B&W Companion 5th Wheel hitch, RVB3300.

I thought about locking my 5th wheel hitch but then I figured it's so darn heavy nobody is going to steal it.

I'm not worried about theft as I am with tampering while unattended. (truck stops, rest areas, Big box retailer,
and even an overnighter at a campground)

I know, I know always Check!, but then there is always gonna be that one time......................!

Has there ever been a verified case of this happening?

Years ago i heard stories about tampering but never witnessed it.
When we had are travel trailer and fifth wheel i always locked them.
Did not want to take a chance.
