We are Pinot Noir people to the core. Walt or Papas Pietro Perry are at the top of our list.

We just had four bottles of Beaux Freres Pinot Noir (Williamette Valley, Oregon) delivered a few days ago. One bottle will be sacrificed tomorrow, along with a nice prime rib roast and all the fixin's.

Beautiful pic you posted TJ!!
For a long time I thought all Pino Noir were made in Williamette Valley. I found a couple others from somewhere else but I know Total Wine has like a whole Aisle of just Pinot Noir (4 or 5 shelves high) and most are from that area. I started trying the wine from the left of the aisle and after a very short while I realized I could be in trouble if I tried to sample the entire aisle ;)

Just popped a gorgeous 6# prime rib in the oven; 500 degrees for 30 mins, then turn the oven off and let it coast for two hours. Should be a perfect medium rare (we do have a temp probe inserted to be sure).

LadyDi has some twice-baked potatoes to go in near the end and nice green salad fixins ready for last-minute assembly. The Pinot Noir is being held at the perfect 60 degrees. Things are looking...and, smelling...good around here! Hope the same is true at everyone else' place.

Awesome! Is santa bringing a Green Mountain Grill? Up to 30 days after still counts. No justification required.
