I am new here and new to rving. I have a 72v li ion ebike battery with a 110v charger that I would like to use for a battery for the rv. Is this possible. I know I need to step down the voltage. I have a generator to charge it using the 110v charger. Here are the battery specs. What do you think? What could I use to step down the voltage and amps? I found this also on amazon. I dont want to break anything with trial and error. Is there more info you would need to help me out?

  • 72v
  • 1260-watt hours
  • 50 amp continuous 70amp maximum BMS
  • 17Amp hours
  • Yea, it is a huge battery. I dont need it any longer and would like to use it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

17 amp hours, won’t last long.
your 12v battery, even a group 24 is 80 amp hours.
I have 400 amp hours in my 5th, a residential fridge and I can last about a day and a half.

Maybe consider making a portable power pak/inverter type affair. You would still have to step it down. Use a standard RV battery box as a project box.

Project time.
