Whadayathink? A tesla based Super C Motorhome. I wonder who will be the first integrator to snag a chassis and build something like this. A super C that can probably do zero to 60 in 10 seconds. 😊. Pack those cupboards tight. 😂

Link?

No links. It’s just that now that they are in production and actually being delivered to customers I wonder if some integrator won’t try and build a kick ass (and probably very expensive) Super C. 😊

Sorry Jim. I should have specified what I was thinkin (dreaming). The picture got me all fired up for something I’ll never have. (Although the wife did buy a lottery ticket at Walmart today. Hmmmm).

Safe travels all. 👍

Let me preface this by saying that I love Super Cs and we have one. Also love the idea of an electric vehicle but don’t yet own one.

An electric SuperC would fix one of the 2 biggest advantages a DP has over a Super C, basement storage. With no drive shaft an electric super c would be able to have full side to side basement.

I was very disappointed in the cab seating for Tesla’s semi, single seat in the middle of the cab. That alone would make most integrators go with a different chassis supplier as it isn’t family driving friendly.

Will be fun to follow these electric semis and see which integrator is the first to do an electric version. This could truly be the first FULL electric coach, no diesel, no propane, just lots of electrons. First ones will be pricey for the privilege of being the first, but the Tesla Semi isn’t priced that much more than a typical Freightliner/Volvo/Mack/etc frame costs from a integrator like Renegade.

Of course the first full electric RVs will most likely be on a much smaller chassis first.

I'm still waiting for my Jetsons flying car that converts into a brief case. (Heck, would settle for the flying car without the briefcase!) Cool to think about, but a ton of practical hurdles to cross first.

Yah for sure. Charging infrastructure will take a few years for sure. Next year probably a few common routes might get some megacharger coverage. I’m sure they’ll start with customer routes in California.

Still, fun to watch.

That is not true. Any space gained in that rig would be eaten up and then some by the batteries. There is no free lunch.

Yep.....with a range of 400............yards.
Sorry, folks, I remain skeptical that electric power is (will be) the savior of the planet. The technology just isn't there, and we're limited to the resources we have here on this planet.

Batteries don't solve any problems, environmental or otherwise. The problem is and will remain energy density. That doesn't address the issue of mining and disposal. We use fossil fuels to do that.
The same people that will rave about nuclear energy will turn a blind eye to the environmental damage of lithium mining. All forms of energy procurement and use are tradeoffs when compared against each other. But the ungodly money involved in being the choice of the day(or decade) is simply incomprehensible. Follow the money is still a good mantra.
