That is not true. Any space gained in that rig would be eaten up and then some by the batteries. There is no free lunch.
Look at the Tesla Semi, the batteries are in the tractor area. The batteries are not way out back. The entire area where the engine and tranny used to be can be utilized by battery.
Have you looked at and under a super c on a class 8 chassis?
In our super c, the frame has been extended and there is tremendous amount of space that is lost between the frame rails due to the drive shaft that would not be consumed by battery.
