Basement A/C charging

Hi, I’m new to the forum and I hope we have some DIY’ers I can pick their brains.
I have a 2007 Itasca Suncruiser ( just bought in May) and the basement and cab air are both not producing cool enough air. What is the DIY way of charging the basement system and what type of Freon is standard ?

Your coach very likely used R134a as the refrigerant. You can purchase recharge kits at most Auto part stores. Follow the directions included with the kit. Your system should have a label listing the type of refrigerant and perhaps even the amount needed. The choices are R12 (long since discontinued) R134a (most likely what you need) and R1234yf (the latest but used much later than 2007).
