When I read the article title in your post, this section within the article was my immediate thought.

On top of this, Amazon’s $18 per hour starting wage is lower than RV manufacturers in the area, who are hiring at $20+ per hour. While Amazon does have attractive benefits policies, there’s a good chance they’ll struggle to pull workers away from the RV industry in Elkhart.
That said, it occurs to me that Amazon can easily out compete RV manufacturers when it comes to wages. It would be an easy lift for them to increase their starting wage in Elkhart to $22/hour and still make plenty.

Looks like prices on RVs won’t be coming down any time soon…
