I believe your wet bay and tanks are fully enclosed. Check your owner's manual. They should be heated via your furnace.Going to be traveling in Feb and will need heated tanks until I get out of new england. I found the kits no problem, any know how accessible the bottom of the tanks are? Anyone who has done this I’m open to hear tips and tricks. Thanks.
Thanks for the reply, I was worried that if I am driving 6-8 hours and the air temp was 10 or 20 that I may have an issue. Being my 1st year with a class A vs 5th wheels I am still in the learning phase. Not sure if the engine heater was going to be the primary source of heat with the collapsed slides or if Propane would be used. I would hope by day two we would be above freezing but weather always has a way if saying SURPRISE! I guess I need to locate the black tank as that would also require heat.I believe your wet bay and tanks are fully enclosed. Check your owner's manual. They should be heated via your furnace.
We mostly use electric space heaters when it gets cool (We winter south) but traveling during the spring shoulder season finds us in cooler temps on occasion. We have a small thermostatically controlled space heater in the wet bay. We have never had a problem with frozen anything. There are plenty of control options.
If I am wrong and your tanks are exposed. Sorry.
We run our propane furnace when traveling in the cold. Your black tank should be heated by your furnace as well. Your hot water heater probably has a heat exchanger so it will be warmed by your engine heat. We have a remote thermometer in our wet bay so we can monitor the temp at all times. Thanks for the reply, I was worried that if I am driving 6-8 hours and the air temp was 10 or 20 that I may have an issue.
