Overwhelmed newbie trying to choose between these two or need to look more? We purchased Miramar yesterday but reconsidering because daughter wants her own space so we need a bunkhouse. She is the reason we decided to get an RV. She is having a hard time dealing with this pandemic, the isolation and inability to hang out with friends. These are the two at the general RV dealership. We tried other dealership and there's not much to choose from. I need to know the reputation of these brands. Im not planning to purchase warranty because from my experience with car warranty, you don't really get to use them often, second, so many exclusions and third, they are expensive for RV! I'm not sure if 7T is worth it? Correct me if my assumptions and perceptions are wrong...I absolutely don't know much about RVing. On the process of educating myself. Any input helps!

First, welcome to RVing and RVF; glad to have you here.

I have no direct knowledge of either unit, but I do have some general observations. Both are Thor products; the Aria 4000 directly and the Entegra Reatta from a company owned by Thor. And, sadly, Thor does not have the best reputation in the RV community for build quality or customer service. Entegra, as a fairly recent acquisition of Thor, has a better reputation.

It sounds like you are limiting yourself to what a single dealer is offering. Even at the lower price-point of Class A motorhomes, you will be spending a significant amount of money for a coach, so broadening your search to other dealers and other brands is strongly suggested. That may require some online shopping and calls to other dealers, followed up be an in-person visit if you find something you really like.

It also sounds like you are feeling pressed for time in making a decision. Unfortunately, making a quick decision on a major purchase like this without doing significant research and/or with limited comparison shopping can result in a poor choice. I applaud you for your concern for your daughter's well-being but am concerned that if you make a quick purchase decision without thoroughly checking out the market, you may regret it.

I'm wondering if a nice family weekend away once a month or so while you are doing your RV research and comparison shopping might be an option. You could even combine the two if you can find a large RV dealer near your weekend destination.

Best of luck in your search and eventual choice.

Thank you TJ. That info helps. You are right, we should take our time. I’m doing my research as much as I can. On the other hand, i also want to get my family some safe recreation before winter and RVing in my mind is perfect. We might just have to roll with it.

The more research you can do the better. If you rush into a purchase of this magnitude you'll regret it for years and years to come. General RV is OK but depending on which location you visited, they don't have many Class A coaches to choose from. Have you looked at RV Dealer & Used RVs Texas | Motor Home Specialists ??? Some of the best prices and best selection I've been able to find.
