Hello fellow RVrs.
I have a 2014 Coachmen Freelander 23QB.
I replaced the awning cover (Dometic 8500) and the slideout topper last week. It was a very straightforward job but I was wondering what can be done to protect the vinyl rolls for the future, since they are rolled up 98% of the time and the sun kills the first 6-8 inches of the vinyl.
Was thinking of some kind of a protective cover that would shield it from the sun or possibly glue a 8-10 inch wide strip of the same vinyl material as a sacrificial material.
Hopefully somebody has some bright ideas out there.
Thank you, Peter Kjellberg.
