Well Punxsutawney Phil the famous ground hog saw his shadow and predicted six more weeks of winter. We woke up this morning to a brisk -7 degrees below zero. Not a lot of snow but bitter cold.

My friends in Florida keep sending me pics of them snorkeling and drinking Margarettas on the beach. They have no shame...LOL Some day I will join them in the winter months. Thankfully so far we didn't get hit with a lot of snow. But don't count your chickens before they are hatched. There is still more winter weather to come.

Throw some logs in the wood stove and stay warm, and dream of spring.

It’s 43 here at the moment, and I’m pondering going for a bike ride.

It finally warmed up here in New Orleans this morning. It's beautiful and sunny here now. I would really like it to stay this way for the next month. From here, we head back to Canada where I know it will still be cold :(

God bless you....... your winters are WAY to long....LOL

Here in Alberta, only 6 more weeks of winter sounds great. Where do we sign up?
Where ever it is to sign up, I wanna be there too (as long as it isn't cold there). Our base is Canmore and the snow sticks around the mountains a little longer than on the prairie.

I sure wouldn't complain about having a place in Canmore, though.

Well, you might want to if you lived there. :) Yes it is very pretty but looks can be deceiving. It's a postcard perfect small town nestled in the Rocky Mountains. That's the big problem. Every one wants to be there. It was never designed to be more than a sleepy little mining town.....population maybe a couple of thousand. I think it is now around thirty thousand. It's no longer paradise! Paradise is travelling the continent! :)

Stay warm, stay safe.

We are warming up here now. Friday night it was -12F with feels like -44

It’s around 5°F up here, but I’m not complaining.
