Glad to be back in Florida. Stopped at the Pensacola RV Park, just off of I 10.
We might venture into Pensacola and visit the Naval Air Museum.
Should be a fun time.

Not sure what part of Florida is Free---Lee County Tax Accessor sure didn't get the memo :)

Maybe its referring to being income tax free?? Like you, I'll be paying a bit in property tax later this year for my upscale RV parking spot. Or maybe its referring to the fact that its free to carry - no permit required.

I’ll buy that. Since I spend my time between Texas, Montana, and Florida I kind of take for granted those freedoms. Montana does have a state income tax, so I don’t earn an income in Montana.

Florida used to give out free OJ at the welcome centers but I am not sure those exist anymore. It used to be a great excuse to stop.

FREE state of mind!!!

The Museum is incredible. I live here, retired from the Navy as an Aircrewman, and go to the museum and Lighthouse a few times a year.
There are many better places to park than Pensacola RV Park, though. I drove through there once, never again…

We like Pensacola RV Park and stop there generally twice a year. It's a no frills campground for sure, but it's owned (or partially owned) by x-law enforcement family and we try to support them when we can.

Suggestion of better rv parking in Pensacola?

FLORIDA, is a FREE state in comparison to others!
Real estate taxes. as an example; I own a home in Florida, & one in Virginia, as well! The taxes on the Virginia home (smaller of the two) are higher than the Florida home!
And Florida is Free, as in no state income tax, no personal property taxes.
Also, not a state of mind, when each month I retain more of my income, than I would in other places. Virginia is an example! And that's a fact!;)

I know RB wasn't serious with his post, but it does open the door for comparisons.

One of the things we like about Florida is yearly registration for our motor home is peanuts compared to the $2,250.00 yearly "property tax" that NC likes to charge us.

So for us, the RV lives in FL and only visits NC.
