Well it started about a month ago. Radiator on my F250 totally blew out. Down hill from there. An original trailer wheel developed a small leak. Replaced it with a generic wheel until I could find new wheel and time to get it delivered. A short time later we had a flat, on a different wheel, it sliced a Propane line. Then a bracket broke on a leaf spring. Next the Lippert stabilizer quit working. Control panel showed “Communication error. Check power”. (Tracked all lines never did figure out what happened. It just started while checking lines. Obviously something loose). Now see picks of next.

Got it sealed up so I can tow it to repair location. Already about $6,000.00 in the hole. Maybe I’ll get lucky and insurance may cover. $1,000.00 deductible.

When you have an RV, you're gonna have days (or periods) like that. As the John Denver song said so eloquently..."Some days are diamonds, some days are stones."

We've been there...and survived.

We were headed out on a two-week vacation and I stopped for fuel halfway to our destination. Leaving the pump, I didn't account for the "tail wag" and the rear of our fifth wheel caught on the 5" metal pipes that protect the fuel pumps. The fiberglass "cap" on the back of the RV was seriously damaged.

We used Gorilla-brand duct tape to hold it together and drive back 150 miles to our hometown RV repair center where they stopped what they were doing, pulled all their workers together and fixed all the wiring so we had tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, etc. and they taped up the rear even better than I had it. We went to our home for the night, then headed back out the next day completing our vacation just one day short.

That's the worst - but we've had other issues that we'd class as "stones". But, by far - the diamonds outweigh those stony days in our 27th year of RVing.
