If they are 6V batts in series, no. If they are 12V batts in parallel, yes.
 
The proper way to charge two paralleled 12v batteries is to connect th ground of charger to ground of one battery. Then connect the positive charger cable to the second 12v battery positive post.

This creates a better charging path resulting in a more even charge of both batteries.
