Don't know if anyone had the opportunity to see the world's largest operating steam engine, but it came close to where I am. It weighs a whopping 1.2 MILLION pounds!! I couldn't get the video to embed here, but here is the link for it: DSCF3368.AVI I know you can't quite hear the whistle like it rally is, but my whole body trembled when the engineer blew it right next to me!

It was fantastic! There were two helicopters and a bunch of cars following it. Oh, since I forgot, that video was taken between the two crossings in D'Hanis, Texas. If you go HERE you can see where it will be and when it should be there, and go HERE to see where it is in real time.

Thanks for the link. I love old and unusual trains. UP 4014 certainly filled that bill. What an interesting piece of railroad history,
