I decided to do a little touch up on the bin areas of the coach, so not knowing where to purchase a small bit of matching color, I turned to Newmar parts dept. The gentleman I talked to said they do sell touch up kits, just shy of 100.00. I asked if the paint was base coat (flat finish) or single stage (gloss finish) and he said it was single stage, so I ordered one. The kit of 4 - 1 oz bottles were delivered about 2 weeks later. First nice day today, so I decided to go out and take care of one side of the coach. I carefully applied a coat of black to one small scratch, and stood back to admire my work. As the paint dried it turned flat, :mad:and now looks worse than the original damage. I took a sample of each color and let them dry with the same results. Called Newmar parts and they said "yeah, I guess that's the way they ship it. You can go to an automotive store and buy an aerosol of clear.... " at that point, I stopped listening. Lesson learned.

I would ask for the $100 back...as they did not sell you what they said. Did the color at least match?

I'm pretty sure that's a dry well. The color does match, just flat. I'm going to try a little light compound on them.
