Our 2019 Coachman 201 Ultralite travel trailer wore the left rear tire down thru the steel cord in just aout 10,000 miles. The right front tire was badly worn but not to the cord.

The tire shop said the nut holding hub on the left side was loose causing the tire damage - damaging the brakes and hubs. $450 took care of the tires.

The shop can not find the Denso brakes and hub assembly anywhere. Denso said they are not readily available since they are 1 1/2" rather than the more common 2"

Question:

Can I convert to 2" brakes - I'm willing to buy new axels.

They tell me the alexs are not alignable. Is this correct?

My $0.2, find a shop that works on trailers. Appears to be an axle issue, mechanical, alignment or both. A brake conversion should not be difficult but may be expensive.
etrailer.com is a good source for information or mfg of trailer.

I believe axles can be aligned by remounting the axle to the spring pack. I had a 20ft utility that ate tires, & the fix was relocating the axle.
