Thank you to Joe & Corrie Dodds, who offered to test out the new road going up to the top of Deer Springs RV Park!

Joe & Corrie have an awesome 2021 - 26' Black Series HQ19 travel trailer. But this beast is anything but your average TT, and we think it looks pretty darned good sitting up at what will soon become the "Deer Ridge" section of our park.

Sprayed 5 truckloads of grass on the sides of the road, all the sheer banks, and anywhere that we need to control erosion.

I'll have to spend a few days with the chainsaw doing nothing but opening up the view. All the big trees will remain, but the little scrubby ones with all the dense foliage, will have to be removed.

But once they are gone, the view will really be nice.

Here she is saying she doesn’t want to go in but instead saying “I want a belly rub” I have no idea if my pics are large I am not very good at posting pics. Sorry if they are huge.

She's beautiful! :)

Spray grass seems like what I need to get grass growing again.
if you have any area at all, and the people that do it use the right grass seed, then yes. But that being said, it's a gamble. All it takes is one good storm to ruin thousands of dollars of spray-on grass! Yep, one good storm and your neighbor has a bunch of new grass!

Mine is starting to turn green. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.

Haven't gotten much done since the 2023 season opened but here are a some pictures of the place now that the trees have gotten some leaves. It's really gonna be a nice place to camp!

Haven't had time to thin the trees out and exploit the view, but it's out there!

We can’t wait to see the new sites and stay a while. Looks like things are coming together.

It's really looking nice Jim, all the work will be worth it.I almost forgot $$.

As luck would have it (or lack of luck I should say) the road up to the new sites wasn't offering the comfort level required to make guests feel warm-n-fuzzy. So I'm paving it. Rats, didn't want to have to do that. . .

So while I was busy spending our SS, I decided to have them do the entrance as well. I've noticed a few of the bigger rigs getting a little loose in the gravel, especially on dry days, so this will end that problem. Will help a bunch with the dust too!

They did the entrance today and will converge on the 700' of road up to the top tomorrow.
