Burlington has as long been a College Town as I remember. When I worked here in the early 2000s it was a fun generally safe downtown. We eat dinner on Church St often.
However, today I witnessed graffiti most everywhere, junkies smoking Crack in the alleyways, various urban street people roaming the back streets.
My local friends refuse to go downtown as it is too dangerous, especially after dark.
Police patrolling in pairs.
Sleepy town no more.
Shame what has happened to rural communities.

We only went to Costco.

VT country sides are still pretty. Most farms are still here but main routes are being developed near town.
