As I made my reservations for my late summer trip well in advance I'm wondering if I'm going to face price increases on arrival. Obviously the theme of the year is price increase, curious how this is being handled. If you experience an unexpected price increase without notice, on arrival, please share your story, and location of course.

So far, we have not experienced a price increase once booked. The only issue was that cancellation by a rv resort in Florida a few weeks before our arrival when they had a chance to rent our spot for a longer period. I would not concern youself😊 Judy D

Maybe I did wrong, but paid in full, for each "reservation" as we made them, from Florida, for this summers trip to Nebraska, Wyoming, S Dakota, N Dakota, Montana, and return!
Since they are paid, maybe it will better allow for the "BIG HIT" on the budget, for GAS prices!;)
Trying to have a positive outlook, BUT!

It's off topic for the thread but I personally don't do that or recommend it (pay in full up front) as with these machines there's no guarantee travel will go as planned. I think @J&JD had this happen due to a DEF head failure. I prefer pay the absolute min so I cut my losses should I not make it. It all comes down to refund/cancellation policy though in the end so it may not matter. I just don't want to have to fight to get my money back.

I think you're right Neal.

Really? I explain in a new thread. Stay tuned.

In my 10+ years of RVing I have only had the "we raised the price while you weren't looking" happen a couple of times. Once they didn't honor the club discount even though it was still on the web site. When I pointed that out the owner said they no longer honored that discount. Then proceed to give me us crappy site. That will teach me to argue with the owner :ROFLMAO:. It was only one night so not a big deal but will never return. I think it happened one other time but the increase was only $1 so we didn't bring it up... lesson learned from the first time .

Smart move as anything can happen before your trip ,just had a guest have to cancel a month long stay with us due to health issues, luckily he was able to cancel with 30 days notice so he got all his deposit back, we normally dont charge for cancellations unless they are last minute type, and then its just the 1st nights stay.

Some people just don’t understand the power of repeat business.

I stayed in a pretty nice resort a few years ago for just over $100/night while shopping for a new coach at a local Newmar dealer. Then a year or so ago, while headed in that direction I thought it would be nice to stay there again, but found they now wanted $192/night and all amenities were closed due to covid. So I passed. I just checked again and they are back down to around $100/night, so maybe thats a response to less demand.
