Canadian/US feud

My opinion on any country or political feuds. They've been going on forever. With social media now they're in our face and most of us can't get it out of our faces. It doesn't affect us, we go on with our lives as people have for many many years before us. You can't let social media, news, etc. grip your life or you won't live your best RV life. So IMHO, the US/Canada thing is a non thing, we all know to go on with our business, our lives, our travel, everyone in both countries I'm sure feels the same and want politics and news out of our lives.

What does matter are things like DJI bans which someone shared. We need to know about border checks, travel restrictions, what things a country is enforcing, etc. so we don't get caught at the border. I typically travel with 3 DJI drones. I no longer travel with a firearm, just an attack lab as long as you don't say "treat"!

Try not to over worry about the headlines. Enjoy your life, it's too short, be kind, help others, be the better person, and pick up after your dog

My comments about the grocery stores where from those not from North America. USA/Canada are very similar in product availability, choice, brands, etc. Those coming from the EU and other countries are the ones that where just amazed at the products on our shelves.

Not on Facebook - telescope group on Reddit for the Seestar I own and this forum are basically the only social media.

Stopped watching news a long time ago since it just raised my blood pressure, and nothing I could do to change it either.

Spend your time enjoying life instead - much better that way

If crossing borders you do need to know what is going on though to not get caught up in something new.

I wouldn't mind being able to buy booze at the grocery store. Then again, I mostly drink local craft beer that I'm sure they wouldn't carry anyway.

I don't drink alcohol. I grew up in what was a dry county, and was amazed at how dumb that idea was. To get around the prohibition, grocery stores, resturants, and bars would sell memberships. The memberships where valid for 10 years and included 1 free drink, priced at the cost of a normal drink.

A few years ago most of the Texas dry counties fixed the problem by allowing sales. Now its the local cities that are banning / not banning, which makes it even less intelligent of a choice. The cities that ban it are losing out on sales tax as just a few feet from the city limits there is a liquor store that is in the other city or unicorporated parts of the county. Doesn't protect anyone, and just loses out on tax dollars that could be used for Fire, Police, EMT, or for public detox programs if the cities felt so strongly----This is just one of the quirks you get when people have values that out weigh logic and reasoning.

As I said, I don't drink, never have, and don't plan on it in the future, but I still see the value of collecting the tax dollars from those that do. Historically prohibition failed.

I don't know the reason Canada doesn't put alcohol in Grocery stores, but it may be based on separation of where the product could be a temptation. If so, that's an idea that rooted in good intention, but lacks larger thought. Very similar to what I have in my area of Texas.
