Has anyone been to the Canyonlands area lately? I know in most years you can boondock on BLM land, but this year it's been so crazy busy everywhere I'm worried about driving out there and not finding any spots. Just wondering what crowds have been like or should I book a reservation at a local RVpark in Monticello? This is our rig.

In June we stayed in Moab and took Route 279 just north of town to the trail up Shafer's Pass into Canyonlands. On the way up also saw the cliff where Thelma and Louise drove over it. It was a great day. Need to like heights. Google Shafer's Trail prior to taking it.
