anyone ever installed a ceiling fan in their bedroom in place of the light fixture?

I would want more then luan holding the fan up. Make sure it is anchored into something substantial. Plus, the light is almost sure to be 12v. Make sure of voltage before you purchase something.

i know about getting the right voltage, but supporting a fan above the bed is making me nervous. i guess i could talk to the guy that does some of my rv maintenance.

Sooo I had my ceiling fan installed by a professional and he said it was a pain in the pooper, because he had to run some new wires. Good to use a professional once in awhile
