Well guys I changed out again. With the increase of fuel prices I sold my travel trailer and went back to a motor home. Getting 6mpg hauling my travel trailer was just too much. Going back to a v10 gas motorhome should get me 10mpg as my last one did. Plus it is newer and got it below blue book value.
here is the old and new to me.

Well the last few days we have gotten everything transferred and insured. Now we have pulled everything out and I mean everything. Then cleaned the outside and doing a little detailing. Cleaning everything we pulled out and relocating to sports that are more sensible to us. I’m also going through all the maintenance paperwork. Twila is dug into the inside making is spotless.

After going through the paperwork I am thinking I got a better deal then I thought. Within the last 5 months the previous owner replaced;

All 6 tires,
All the breaks and rotors, new axle seals,
Replaced both Captains Chairs,
reupholstered the couch and dining booth.
changed oil 30 days ago,
New air filter

i went through and verified it was all done. First time I bought a used anything and I don’t have to fix anything.

Oh, and the day before I bought it, I got a $1000 check from the State of Nevada. It appears my dad left some money in an account in Las Vegas 66 years ago when we lived there.

When we had our 37' Thor Challenger (V-10 on the Ford chassis) I got around 8mpg on a good day, of course we were loaded to the max full timing.

The biggest issue I had with the F53 chassis was handling. I did sumos and a couple other things to it and it was still difficult to drive in moderate cross winds.

Good luck and I hope it works out for you. Good looking rig.

Yes we had a Thor Hurricane at first. Once I put the steering stabilizer on it and reprogrammed the engine computer we ended up with about 11pm.

Our first trip will be the 23rd to Fl. I will be able to see what the fuel mileage will be before the reprogram.

I don't think you are going to see 10 mpg with a V10. We had a 2019 Tiffin Open Road, 35', and I saw 8 mpg, once. Got anywhere from 4 to 7, towing a Jeep. I now have a diesel pusher. You seem to have gotten a bargain, though.

Average 6.3 to 7.5 on mine 37 foot. Can push it to 8 on flat ground at 65 mph. My 30 ft class C got 8-9,5. Calculations are for entertainment with these things. Enjoy the ride.

Congratulation @BGMAC! Sounds like you better go out and buy a lottery ticket!

You guys are probably right on the gas mileage, but I’ll find out soon. We’re heading to Fl for a week. I’ll keep records and see what happens.

We’ve been doing a pretty in depth cleaning on it and checking systems pretty thoroughly. There was an issue with water pressure when connected to an outside source. Maybe one of the reasons they let it go so cheap. Found out is was a plugged screen on the input side of the water regulator. The hose was also plugged. Kind of strange.

There were a couple of tile that were cracked. We found some sealant matching the color and rubbed it in the crack and the disappeared. After cleaning they look like new.

Below are before and after pics.
